There are things we only do with our best friends. Do you know that feeling of being so comfortable with another person that you can be who you are? Letting yourself go. You don't have to do anything and everything has a place.
That best friend doesn't have to be one person. The best friend is your dog. Friendship creates a bond and gives security.
There are things you only do with your best dog buddy.
Your dog turns back the time machine
You are sitting in the meadow, your dog comes running and shakes himself right next to you. The water splashes around your ears. Just like five years ago. It was really hot then and you took a trip to the lake. A wonderful day.
Your dog was in the water before you and splashed you. What the heck, you thought, and jumped into the cool water with your clothes on. What a crazy day.
Your dog reminds you of experiences from the past. Take your time and revel in it.
Your dog likes to smell you
Your dog doesn't care if the sock you're wearing has a hole in it. What? You haven't combed your hair? Your dog doesn't care.
Your dog will like you much better without makeup on your face. And while you're at it, lay off the deodorants and perfume - your dog likes to smell you.
Your dog will take you back to nature. Don't look perfect for a change, keep your pajamas on all day and enjoy it.
Go for a ride with your dog
Sunday morning, best spring weather, you and your dog. You want to go for a ride! The whole day you will be out and about. The walk, the hike is long and intense.
You come to areas you don't know yet. You go to your limits and beyond. You are outside and absorb everything.
Your dog is having a blast with you! Or would you have experienced this hiking adventure without your dog?
Your dog talks turkey with you
He doesn't speak with words, but with actions. Walkers come towards you, your dog runs towards them. You call the dog back - he continues to run! Yes, he has given you the finger and talked turkey!
Your dog has ignored you and is showing you the limits of your relationship.
Be clear in your language. Use few words, don't text your dog. Learn to talk turkey and your dog will understand you.
Your dog accompanies you to the bathroom
Your best friend accompanies you to the bathroom and makes you tell him about your day. Gently stroke his fur.
When you take a dump, you like to be alone and undisturbed. Your dog is there and it relaxes you.
You discuss disgusting things with your dog
As a dutiful dog owner, you pick up your dog's poop. You put your hand in a poop bag and approach the brown something. As you touch it, you notice that the poop is no longer steaming - it's cold and hard.
You've got the wrong poop!
Gross, isn't it?
Your dog manages to make you put poop in bags - not just your own dog's.
Your dog makes you cry
You just broke up with your boyfriend. A person dear to you is leaving for a long time. You have been disappointed and you are angry. You cry.
Call your dog, snuggle up to him and cry the tears into his fur. He understands your sadness and your anger. He takes in your disappointment and your sobs. He doesn't comfort you with meaningless words. He doesn't contradict you and he doesn't want you to stop crying quickly.
Your dog is there for you - especially in times when you feel bad. And it feels so good!
Your dog enjoys it when you eat without restraint.
You are sitting in a restaurant, nicely dressed, and have a hamburger in front of you. The first thought: How am I supposed to eat this with a knife and fork? The second thought: I'm going to get soaked!
My tip: Eat your hamburger or kebab outside and in the presence of your dog. There you can really feast and dig in. No matter how it looks. And, if something falls down - and it will - your dog will be happy about it.
Your dog doesn't care whether you hold the knife in your left or right hand. He doesn't care if you follow the rules of etiquette.
If you want and allow it, you will never eat alone. Your dog will be by your side to keep you company.
And after the meal, you won't need to fetch the vacuum cleaner. Every little crumb will be cleaned up by your dog.
Your dog is proud of you
We strive to do our jobs well. We want to be praised and be proud of ourselves. However, many things in everyday life go without praise. It goes without saying.
But, you are proud of yourself and may pat yourself on the back. Go out in the backyard with your dog and celebrate yourself.
Dance around, laugh and be happy about the job well done. Your dog rejoices with you. He runs around you, maybe barks at you, dances with you and celebrates you.
How nice, you are not celebrating yourself alone - your dog gives everything to show you how great you are.
He doesn't mind if you celebrate yourself every day or every hour. He never thinks you're conceited.
My dog - my best friend
I am grateful that Chetana and Sammy enrich my life. That I may experience how special the friendship between humans and dogs is.
Sure, they don't make my life easier and I carry more responsibility. But I can't imagine my life without a dog. These cute fur monsters are my best friends and with them I conquer the world.
